iPhone 12 to Feature Support for Ultra-Short Range Wi-Fi Standard: Report

Apple may include support for 802.11ay Wi-Fi standard in its next-generation iPhone models in 2020, potentially making its AirDrop feature more useful. The company is expected to launch three new iPhone 12 models in fall this year.
